Better halves are like country quilts.

Had an epiphany tonight. Each person is made up of a little of this and a little of that, much like a country quilt. Want to dance in the kitchen? That’s a patch. Like to go to antique stores? That’s a patch. Like pillow talk? That’s a patch. Like to pull hair/have your hair pulled? That’s a patch. Like Oral? That’s a patch. -You get the idea. The trick is to find your quilt thats full of the patches you like. Way, way, harder than it sounds my friends. You can find one that has what you think you want but it has other things you don’t. When that happens no matter what you do, you’re never going to be comfortable. On the other hand… there can be this tattered, short country quilt that has just what you like - nothing more. it’s missing a few things you wish it had but man…. It’s so comfortable, so warm, you realize you don’t need those other things.  That’s what you want to hang on to and grow old with.
